Starting November 10, 2024, you can ride the Floridian, a temporary new Amtrak route. It is a combination of two existing routes: the Silver Star and Capitol Limited, and will connect the Midwest with Florida.

#40 arrived in Elkhart Nov 10 with four Amfleet II coaches, one Amfleet Lounge, Viewiner II Diner, Viewliner I sleeper and Viewliner II sleeper. It's a good consist, but they they need another Viewliner Sleeper in the consist, at minimum!!!!!
