Tux is a municipality in the Schwaz district in the Austrian state of Tyrol. The parish of Tux covers the higher and largest part of the Tuxertal, a side valley of the Zillertal that branches off at Mayrhofen.

More than 100 sqkm of municipal area offer enough space for countless hiking paths, Nordic Walking routes and MTB trails. High on the Hintertux Glacier you can do a boat trip in Nature's Ice Palace also in summer, while the Spannagel Cave, the highest show cave in Europe, invites to discover the inside of the mountain.

Hintertux Glacier has the longest skiing season in all of Austria. Especially now in glacier spring, when the temperatures in the valley become milder, Hintertux Glacier shines with best slope conditions, plenty of snow, amazing views over snow-covered mountain tops and many adventures to discover!
