Anyone gotten this trouble code before or can shed some light? 2016 428i Gran Coupé, 44K miles. Just got the check engine light last night after work. Took the car to AutoZone today and got the readout below but couldn’t provide much info on it.

As I understand it, the purpose on the sensor is to check that the radiator is a magnesium-coated one, which cuts down ozone emissions. This is the original radiator so the sensor shouldn't be signaling a problem. Advice?

2024年5月7日 · Car has less than 50k on the odometer and I'm getting a CEL with code U019D. Research shows this is related to a sensor that is part of the SULEV system and specifically attached to the radiator. Dealer tells me the sensor cannot be obtained separately, and that only a new radiator will remove the CEL. Quoted $2500.

2023年9月13日 · CEL comes up and scans the two codes U019D & P0143. My research indicates these code relate to the SULEV system and specifically the EAC sensor that is built into the radiator. BMW does not sell the sensor as a standalone part, and instead insists you purchase an entirely new radiator. Quote on the install is over $2500.

2024年5月7日 · About a year ago, I got a persistent CEL that returned the code U019D. My research indicated that this is the radiator sensor for the SULEV system. A quick call to the dealer revealed that they do not sell the sensor individually, and that it would require replacement of the entire radiator assembly, at a cost of over $3k.
