Aug 2, 2020 · From what I gather, there's a log called video.delete.log and essentially it shows the affected UBV files and what i can only assume are the frames removed from those files (start xxx1, end xxx239). So the typical 2ish hr long 1.1gb UBV has been shortened to 40min but the file still remains 1.1gb. Using the Remux tool the file is only 250mb.

Can I just shut down the UDM-Pro, and pull the disc to copy the footage with a sata adapter? (Then later convert the ubv files to mp4) I know there should be dead simple.

Oct 13, 2019 · I can understand why they chose to create their own file format with the .ubv containers. High read/write performance with some kind of rotating storage blocks is a good approach, especially when lots of cameras write to one single system (or drive, in this case). Otherwise the IOPS of the hard disk could get out of control very fast.
