Designing the Underwater Glider User Group logo was a fun challenge. The community continues to grow needed a way to represent themselves consistently. I chose a clean, wide font to emulate the bold stenciling seen on scientific ocean equipment. Those bold lines and sweeping curves of the “UG2” are balanced by the trails of the gliders.
