Do I have to register a UGAMail email address? No. You should register the email address at which you would prefer to receive any official announcements. Why do I have to register my email address and then go through the verification web page?

In accordance with University of Georgia policy, every student is required to have an email address to which official University communications can be sent. It has been determined that, in the best interest of effective communications management, this address must reside on the University-maintained UGAMail email system.

University of Georgia students, faculty and staff have free access to download and install Office 365 ProPlus software through their online UGAMail account, which is powered by Office 365.

The University of Georgia has expanded its services with Microsoft’s Office 365 platform to include OneDrive for Business, a cloud-based solution for storing, syncing and sharing files. Along with UGAMail and calendar services, Office 365 for all UGA students, faculty and staff now includes OneDrive for Business under the same account.

To install Office 365 ProPlus on desktops, students should log in to their web-based UGAMail account (ugamail.uga.edu) and click on the gear (Settings) icon at the top-right menu.
