2025年1月14日 · Originally conceived to meet motorsport 'homologation' rules, the Porsche 911 (993) GT2 was produced in a very limited production run between 1995-1996 and took the flagship 993 Turbo to a new level, whilst reverting from the 959-derived four-wheel drive to a traditional rear-wheel drive configuration to meet those GT2 regulations.

The 993 GT2’s original 3.6 L (220 cu in) engine generated a maximum power output of 430 bhp, but was upgraded in 1998 to 450 bhp with bigger turbos for the EVO version. A total of 194 road cars were built, which included only 25 right-hand drive cars, and 21 EVO’s in 1998.
