UKSA in Cowes (previously called UK Sailing Academy) is a youth charity offering professional maritime training opportunities, youth development programs and school/ group residential trips. The charity was founded in 1987 by MFI entrepreneur Noel Lister.

UKSA is known for its inspirational instructors, who will be able to help you improve on your skills and techniques, so that you feel more confident when you are out and about on the water. You can choose half-day, whole day, multi-activity or longer courses.

2002年11月20日 · I am thinking of enrolling in the UKSA Motor Boat Skipper course. The only thing holding me back is the cost, 8k, (must sell old boat) and the relative unknown of this course. It's brand new and the first course is happening NOW and I hope to start in January. Anyone got any views on this 10 week course and anyone got a spare 8k kicking around

However, most sailing schools find it *very* expensive to keep a boat 'in Code' for the small numbers of studes who may want to do an Ocean qualifying passage. Those tend to be down to 'Out of The Channel - Outside Ushant - Down To Spain or Portugal'.
