2020年9月6日 · The issue was, I believe, that UL was becoming very common, and the 6146 isn't suitable for UL as it requires a relatively low screen grid voltage. If you can provide a good, regulated, screen grid supply you could have a good amp with 6146s.

2012年12月21日 · What I heard about the 6146 is that it's OK for non-continuous use, such as in transmitting, but is likely to overheat in continuous use, such as playing music in an audio amp. Some early audio amps used it, but the more robust and reliable 807s and KT88s soon took over.
