2015年10月3日 · Here is me shooting my K PDW with a .40 caliber MK9K: The K PDW is so much more compact than the full size and the UMP. The UMP certainly has more versatility, but since the OP is looking for this specific caliber a roller locked might be a better choice. I have shot a UMP Post Sample, once.

2022年8月31日 · A ump 40 suppressed with 180gr subsonics I loaded up was much louder than any gun with 9mm subsonic suppressed. I stopped even bothering to suppress my ump 40 because you definitely don't want to shoot it without ear pro and it adds so much length to the gun but you're not getting the benefit.

2024年12月29日 · The problem was worse during auto fire but still happened on semi auto as well. Clamps work well with 9mm MP5s, not so well with UMPs. The weight of 60 rounds of .40 caliber hanging on the gun wasn't awesome either. I'll say this about the .40 ump magazine though. Over all the time we've had them, I've never seen one fail or break.

2012年6月12日 · The promags are for the USC I think. There IS a difference, although USC mags will work with the UMP lower (which a lot of people are using with their USC uppers) there is a bit of wobble because the UMP mag is significantly wider. This is easy to fix with spacers though. Just keep in mind that there is a difference between the UMP and USC mags.

2021年2月15日 · That gives you a UMP-45 pistol clone. Add $200 for a stamp and $60-$100 for a proper stock. Or buy a brace for whatever they cost. (Side note: I’ve never seen a rifle-length .40 barrel so you either go pistol or SBR.) To get to a UMP-40, you’ll just need to swap the barrel, bolt, and extractor.

The UMP is a blowback-operated, magazine-fed, shoulder-fired submachine gun firing from a closed bolt. As originally designed, the UMP is chambered for larger cartridges than the MP5. This was done in order to provide more stopping power against unarmored targets, at the cost of a somewhat shorter effective range compared to the 9 x 19 mm MP5.

2019年3月20日 · I picked up a German H&K UMP .40 barrel, Bostic modified bolt, and three mags for $450 on Gunbroker. A few months later I also got a German UMP .45 barrel there for $250. So deals are out there, just not if you need it now.

2021年6月22日 · I tried a direct thread AA Tirant 45M on my UMP SBR. Terrible POI shift, more than 6” at 25 yards. Ran fine though (no malfunctions). I haven’t gotten around to ordering another .45 can to try. Seems like Dead Air or SilencerCo is the way to go.
