Aug 17, 2023 · The National Museum of the United States Navy at the Washington Navy Yard is located in Southeast Washington, DC, bounded by the Anacostia River and the 11th Street Bridge. The Museum is several blocks east of the Navy Yard Metro (Green Line) and several blocks south of the Eastern Market Metro (Blue/Orange Lines).

This section houses the permanent exhibits at the National Museum of the U.S. Navy.

May 8, 2024 · The National Museum of the U.S. Navy was established in 1961 and opened to the public in 1963. As one of 14 Navy museums throughout the country, it is the only one that presents an overview of U.S. naval history.
