The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is an American wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. After dropping its unconventional Sonic Cruiser project, Boeing announced the conventional 7E7 on January 29, 2003, which focused largely on efficiency.

The 787th Air Expeditionary Squadron is a provisional United States Air Force unit, assigned to United States Air Forces Europe. The squadron has been activated twice for contingency operations in Africa. The squadron was first organized in August 1943 as the 787th Bombardment Squadron, a heavy bomber unit.

The following is a list of commercial operators of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. In June 2024 there were 1116 Boeing 787 aircraft in airline service, comprising 397 787-8s, 621 787-9s and 98 787-10s. [1] .

2012年2月21日 · The Air Force put out a request for a replacement back in January of 2009 to have a new plane in service by 2017. A couple of weeks later, EADS(Airbus) took themselves out of the running leaving Boeing as the sole bidder, with the 747-8 and the 787 Dreamliner as the proposed offerings.
