In many newer monitors, the upstream USB port on the monitor is usually a USB-C port. Thus, today, USB-C and Thunderbolt ports allow you to use a single cable between your computer and monitor to provide video signal to the monitor and also use USB ports on the monitor. Thunderbolt ports, like USB, also carry both power and data.

2018年8月18日 · Addendum to previous comment... USB 2.0 allows for more than 500 mA, and extensions to the spec like USB-BC allows for even more. USB 2.0 ports supplying at least 1.5 A are quite common, some offer more. I believe USB 2.0 originally required host ports to provide 900 mA minimum to meet the spec, hub ports were to provide at least 150 mA.

If your USB drive does not show up, try a different drive. I couldn't get it to boot from USB DVD on two different model Zenbooks. It wound up being a compatibility issue with the DVD drive. A new DVD drive booted just fine.

2016年10月29日 · Your UGREEN USB 3.0 to SATA Converter probably broken. I own that also. While I was formatting one of my hard disk using UGREEN USB 3.0 to SATA Converter, it was interupted because sudden loss of the power supply. Next time i use the sata converter, its not working anymore.

2019年5月19日 · I encountered a similar problem where the F12 boot selection menu would not display the USB boot option. @SSi's solution worked for me. I powered down the PC, removed the USB drive, reinserted it and powered back on. That worked, and the USB drive showed up in the F12 boot menu. I was able to successfully install the OS.

2015年1月3日 · I have a USB drive that shows up as Lexmark USB in Safely Remove Hardware but I cannot find it in My Computer. The only things that show up in My Computer are the computer's hard drive and Network Places. I am running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. I have tried using the Windows Troubleshooter and that doesn't do anything.
