In October 1951 reacquired by the US Navy and recommissioned as USS Eectra (AKA 4) in May 1952 for service in the Korea War. In May 1955 decommissioned and again laid up as part of the reserve fleet of the US Maritime Commission in July 1960. Broken up in Japan in June 1974.
