USS San Jacinto (CG-56) was a Ticonderoga -class cruiser in the United States Navy. She is named for the Battle of San Jacinto, the decisive battle of the Texas Revolution. San Jacinto was laid down on 24 July 1985, by Ingalls Shipbuilding, in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

USS San Jacinto (CG-56) honored more than three decades of naval service during a decommissioning ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk, September 15, 2023. Vice Adm. USS San Jacinto was commissioned on January 23, 1988, by the Vice President George Bush in Houston, Texas. USS San Jacinto has distinguished herself by a 1989 Mediterranean deployment, where she provided the strike warfare capability supporting the first Mediterranean aircraft carrier gap in recent history.
