We serve as a resource on HUB processes, rules and requirements to UT System Administration and UT System institution offices. It is our goal to foster efficient, effective, and mutually beneficial working relationships with UT System offices while complying with all relevant State of Texas rules, laws, and UT System Board policies.

UT System Administration and UT System institutions commit to a good faith effort to increase purchases from and contract awards to Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) firms consistent with State of Texas goals for HUB participation and overall economic development.

A Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) is a corporation, sole proprietorship, partnership or a joint venture formed for the purpose of making a profit in which at least 51 percent ownership of the business is by a woman, minority and/or service-disabled veteran.

The Alliance’s sourcing activities are designed to comply with Texas law and UT System policy regarding the use of Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs). Cynthia Booker of the UT System Office of HUB Programs helps the Alliance with HUB initiatives.
