Was ULQ never nerfed? : r/Warthunder - Reddit
Jan 11, 2022 · ULQ/low settings users don't have to deal with a wide range of effects that make seeing tanks more difficult, such as shadows, grass, and particle effects. Additionally, low-res textures and low-fidelity terrain objects make it very easy to pick out tanks in the distance (think of how easy it is to see a tank against a desert or snowfield and ...
ULQ and why i regret trying it. : r/Warthunder - Reddit
May 21, 2019 · Only thing that gets me to 60fps is vysnc enabled and ulq. Even low settings just drops it to 20fps.And to top it everything is made of 3 fucking pixels. I cant even spot a single thing further 500meters.If you want to have that "advantage" ulq has try setting tree and grass density to lowest. And you are all of a sudden pro player amirite.
should ULQ be removed for PC's with above average specs, and
Sep 7, 2023 · Currently ULQ offers too much of an advantage and opportunity to be abused. Times change, engines and graphics update, and system requirements should too. Verdict on ULQ :: War Thunder General Discussions - Steam …
Mar 20, 2020 · As I play with ULQ because my hardware can only keep up 10 fps max on ULQ and 1024x780 res I can safely say that ULQ at times is the worst type of settings you can play on, bloom and reflections will screw you up big time. Playing simulator air battles is out of the question due to the light in the cockpit which makes it impossible to spot enemies.

Jul 5, 2021 · Are they gonna fix it? With how it is now, I can see through most things from far away, so I can spot enemies who don't even have LOS on me, which is pretty unbalanced. It also screws me over sometimes, like when trees don't render until my agile as a brick P-47 with full ordanance is about 50 meters away. They should make it so things render no matter how far …

That is why despite all of the graphics updates, War Thunder has only ever increased the minimum hardware requirement once and that was for Dagor 6.0 in update New Power.
ULQ is fine. : r/Warthunder - Reddit
Jun 25, 2021 · People on pc should get locked to at least medium unless they don't meet the minimum specs. The problem is tree (actually bushes) and terrain render distance; ULQ significantly decreases your visibility is several other ways that probably compensate for it: bushes and trees turn into solid blobs at close which you can't see through at all, colours blur together, …

Best Settings for Visibility? :: War Thunder General Discussions
Nov 9, 2022 · Bottom picture is ULQ which means it looks like absolute **** but of course your visibility is at its best. I guess having your settings as close to the middle picture as possible is a reasonable compromise between looking good and good visibility unless you don't care that your game looks like TETRIS in which case you can just go for ULQ.
Using ULQ : r/Warthunder - Reddit
Jun 27, 2021 · Ulq isn't required for that "magical competitive edge" anymore(and hasn't for years). There's also a guide floating around somewhere that covers which settings you can leave maxed so the game doesn't look potato, while still not being at a disadvantage.
