Union Pacific No. 2564 Is a class MK-10 2-8-2 steam locomotive that was built for the Union Pacifc. After being retired from service. The locomotive was donated to Oro Grande, California. In 1997 it was donated to the Southern California Railway Museum and is now on static display.

UP “City” streamliners operated between Chicago and the West Coast , including Los Angeles and San Francisco. The Museum preserves 18 cars and locomotives from the Union Pacific, and has assembled a matched passenger train consist to help interpret the history of UP’s famed passenger trains.

2025年3月5日 · The UP MacArthur (2-8-2) needs an dedicated shop facility and additional funds to accomplish the necessary refurbishing. It would be a nice locomotive to have available and most more representative than the logging locomotive.

2017年1月21日 · Total of 27 units to UP, numbered UP 2500-2526; leased from Helm Financial; rebuilt from GP40s to GP38-3s by Motive Power Industries (Boise Locomotive Co.), Boise, Idaho. Delivered to UP in February 1997 through February 1998 (UP 2500 was the first, delivered on 5 February 1997, and UP 2526 was the last, delivered on 11 February 1998).
