2022年10月24日 · I know that OSE is 100% compatible with B/X but only has some inspirations from Advanced 1e. My question is, how easy is it to use OSE to run some Advanced 1e adventures? And what should I look out for that might need editing.

OSE is essentially B/X. You can run any B/X module with zero conversion - such as the entire B series, like B10 (a real banger!) or the entire X series. Pretty much any TSR era module is compatible, though AD&D 2e often assumes the use of systems and options than OSE / B/X doesn't have (like skills).

It's not hard to use descending AC, especially if you have your players use a character sheet with the matrix chart on it (the RC has one on the back). But if you are coming from a newer D&D with ascending AC, it might throw you for a loop a bit till you get used ...

2023年1月10日 · You could convert/adapt Curse of Strahd to B/X (OSE) but it would require major work. Essentially, you would need to change it into a sandbox with various locations that the PCs could explore. You would need to add appropriate treasure/loot in these locations so that PCs could gradually level up.

Note that I'm not talking about the proficiency slots system in the Advanced Fantasy Genre Rulebook, which gives you some slots and you can spend 2 for +1 to hit with that weapon.
