The S63 engine of that generation has a lot of reliability issues, as does the transmission. Even maintenance is expensive on just cars. You better have an extra 10k on hand, or buy an extended warranty. 2022年1月7日 · Bought an E39 BMW 540i back in August for 4.5k. Naturally aspirated V8, RWD, 286 HP (if I remember correctly) non-Vanos M62 engine. Drove a few hours to get it but totally worth it.

Snow a FWD has a tendency to slide off the road crown when you start spinning and you have drive with your wheel pointing the wrong way. It feels a little like driving a bumper car. RWD you'll instead get the rear end sliding off the road crown.

Though I’ve driven a BMW 440i for many months and have driven a 2007 Porsche Cayman for a weekend, I know a V8 will be quite different and that muscle cars aren’t exactly know for their precise handling.

I have the AWD and i’m honestly a big fan of infiniti’s awd system. It drives a lot differently than the V8 RWD muscle cars i’m used to, but being able to put your foot down instantly and power out of corners or accelerate away from a light feels like a cheat code.

Why is it that the rest of the big 3 have pretty nice V8 rwd sedans and Ford doesn't? I'm tired of this BS. I'd like to see Ford or even Lincoln build a slick hot rod sedan with a Coyote. Something that is sleek and is capable of being modified. Get it …

2011年11月2日 · There are a few instances where V8's were used in FWD cars (I'm blanking right now but if IIRC the ls4 was a FWD v8). RWD cars usually use more sophisticated DOHC layouts or well-designed and modern pushrod motors (called OHV).

Currently a b9 s4 owner but looking for some old, gritty manual spice in my life. My stepdad and I are looking to get a low budget older v8 manual rwd car so we can touch up on our manual and sliding skills. So, my question is: what can I get? Looking for something relatively reliable and preferably naturally aspirated for that reason.
