2018年5月31日 · My VCDS cable is HEX-USB+CAN, works on my 2016 s5. I think new VCDS cables now have a limit set on them, means you can only use them on a certain amount of cars, sure I read this on Audizine, worth checking before you buy a new one. It maybe a better idea trying to buy an unlimited second hand one.

2013年3月5日 · VCDS is a factory level diagnostic tool - designed specifically for VAG cars. It accesses all electronic modules and pulls all fault information from the car. I hope that helps delineate the differences. VCDS does have generic OBD support but there are two flavors of the standard. VAG uses one. The Detroit 3 uses another.

2019年2月19日 · in that regard, the learning curve for all of them is gonna be steep. vcp isnt that easy (especially the older version which is the latest for the copied version), the whole brick your cable if you update thing with vcds is mad. look into obdeleven. its cheap to buy genuine compared to vcp and vcds, and itll do everything you want.

2012年12月9日 · Well, the cable has arrived and I can't even get the VCDS software to recognise the interface. I've installed the latest version of VCDS (11.11.4) and then plugged the cable into the laptop. It came up with "found new hardware" and automatically installed it stating "your new hardware is installed and ready to use".

I was given a Chinese Clone for VCDS 12.12 however when plugged in it gives Can:Questionable and I can't access the Xenon lights section. My question is, I I pay £250/260 for a genuine cable will it work? Or Do i have a bigger issue that I need to fix before buying the cable.
