When connecting to an LCD over HDMI or VGA, though, there should be virtually no difference. Any difference there may be would be in HDMI's favor as it doesn't have to be converted back into a digital format on the LCD end.

2012年4月21日 · With my new monitor Del ST2421L ( a 24 inch monitor with full HD 1920X1080) I tried the VGA and the HDMI to HDMI High Speed with Ethernet (1.4) cable and as for picture the only difference was the VGA had more vivid colors, enough to be noticeable, but if I had only tried the HDMI cable I would have been satisfied.

2013年3月17日 · VGA will go up to 1920X1080 and beyond. 1920X1080 is HD/1080p when used on up to 24" monitor. DVI is a bit sharper than VGA with text, but not dramatically enough to notice without comparing two systems side by side. HDMI is only really necessary, or desirable, when using the audio function - imo. True HD monitor ? Depends on the size.
