Marine Observation Squadron 2 (VMO-2) was an observation squadron of the United States Marine Corps which saw extensive action during World War II and the Vietnam War.

VMO-2 had served from April 1962 to April 1971, nine consecutive years. During that period, nearly 1900 men qualified to wear the squadron insignia (patch) of VMO-2. Each of the above squadrons provided a significant degree of security in every way to the Marine ground units and transport helicopter squadrons engaged in combat.

VMO-2 represented the Marine Corps in superb fashion with attendance at 21 airshows. Up to deactivation, VM0-2 maintained its combat readiness with an intensive aircrew-training program.
