
EMD F40PH - Wikipedia
The EMD F40PH is a four-axle 3,000–3,200 hp (2.2–2.4 MW) B-B diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division in several variants from 1975 to 1992. Intended for use on Amtrak 's short-haul passenger routes, it became the backbone of Amtrak's diesel fleet after the failure of the EMD SDP40F.

2007年9月12日 · Are you talking about the GP40FH-2s on New Jersey Transit and Metro North? Those units are sort of the opposite of a wide cab. They use the cowl bodies of F45, but retain the GP40 cab and nose. I believe the majority of the New Jersey Transit units are either retired or about to be retired. I think the Metro North units solider on.
