2009年7月21日 · Ran clear hose on output side of VRO and pressure tested. At 800 RPMs the pressure would gradually drop from 7 to 3.5 PSI within 15 to 18 second cycles. Each time pressure reached about 3.5 PSI, I noticed a very small group of bubbles (very small- probably combined would make one 1/16 in diam bubble) that pass out of the fuel outlet.

The most common failure in a VRO is the air motor diaphragm, when it fails, the pump doesn't work - period.
Vro delete and go with fuel mix? - iboats Boating Forums
2020年6月17日 · The VRO is part of the fuel pump so when one fails, the other does too. Lots of people will blame their oil pump when it was actually a different problem. These VRO pumps are very reliable but take the blame a lot. If you are changing your fuel pump I'd consider it as it is significantly cheaper without the VRO. If so, go 50:1 and enjoy your day!

I have an 86 Johnson with Vro and after reading all of these posts I disconnected it. Now I read it's ok to leave it hooked up! I guess it boils down to what you feel comfortable with.
VRO Failure- What are the symtoms? Quick death or slow failure.
2012年6月23日 · Re: VRO Failure- What are the symtoms? Quick death or slow failure. My VRO gave no symptom I can remember. The motor ran wonderfully. Then one day I took my kids tubing, and the motor just shut off after 5 minutes. It would run at idle for a few minutes, we'd open it up, and it would die again. I thought fuel pump, electrical heating, etc.
