Yaesu's Discontinued VX-3R "micro" dual band handheld transceiver. Was made in Japan. Suffered from many issues over it's 10 year lifetime on the market to the end of production (quality control lacking). Good news is that the CTCSS "Delay Bug" was fixed (vs. the VX-2R).

The Yaesu VX-3R is a micro-sized amateur dual band radio, working on the VHF and UHF bands of the radio spectrum. It can be used for radio-to-radio communication as well as for longer range communications via a repeater.

The VX-3R/E is a micro-miniature multiband FM transceiver with extensive receive fre-quency coverage, providing local-area two-way amateur communications along with un-matched monitoring capability.
