Come to Mazomanie if you love the outdoors. Mazo is proud of its parks, trails, and the rolling hills around us. On the north end is the Wisconsin River, a wonderful place to canoe or kayak. Black Earth Creek, a renowned Class A Trout Stream, winds right through the downtown. Now that you’re downtown, you can see the layers of history here.

Mazomanie is a village in Dane County. It is situated in the southern part of Wisconsin, USA. The village is located approximately 25 miles west of Madison, the state capital, and is near the Wisconsin River.

The Village of Mazomanie is governed by a president and six trustees who are elected for two-year terms. The Village Board meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 133 Crescent Street.
