2024年11月4日 · Virgin Media's V6 box has now been replaced by the newer TV 360 box, but many existing customers may still have this box. It's possible for customers to get a firmware update and new remote for the V6, which upgrades the box to the latest TV 360 platform without the need for new hardware.

2025年1月13日 · Today I received an email from virgin offering a FREE upgrade to the 360 TV box from my current v6. Firstly is it a worthwhile upgrade and secondly I have 2 v6 boxes. Would I need to upgrade both of them.

2025年2月17日 · Is it better to get a 360 box rather than upgrade a V6 box software, and in some posts the V6 upgrade fails to install. The important thing to remember with this is that it is a MIGRATION to a different TV platform, it is NOT an upgrade. VM seem to use the phrase as it can be done (on most occasions) with the existing hardware.

2025年1月20日 · You're correct to believe that a migration from TiVo/V6 > TV 360 is a complete change of TV box operating system, and conversions are completely voluntary. VM staff on this forum have confirmed that V6 will remain supported for some time to come yet, and no conversions will be forced.

2024年9月27日 · We have a V6 as the main box and a Tivo as a second box in another room, which gives us 2TB overall storage, accessible over the network from either location. As I understand it, the V6 would be upgraded rather than replaced and the second box would be replaced with a Mini 360 without independent storage, which would be a significant downgrade.

2023年11月26日 · The horizon system used by the 360 boxes is totally different to the TiVo system used by V6. If the current V6 is providing a good service for your needs then stick with it rather than going to the more icon based horizon 360 which doesn't currently have a lot of the handy features that come with the TiVo V6.
