2019年9月16日 · Great speakers. Clean, clear, and dynamic. Awesome bass too, as they use 12" woven carbon fiber woofers, and 12" downward firing passive radiators. Those exact same woofers and passive radiators were used in VMPS subs too. They'll dig into the 20's. As to price, pricing can be all over the place.

2022年2月2日 · We all know the answer to that. I prize transparency, imaging and bass response. I have had a pair of smaller VMPS subwoofers for a LONG time (15 years or more) that I have upgraded. I got the super megawoofers and big bump passives just before VMPS closed up shop, and about two years ago installed 500-watt BASH plate amps into each one.

Bottom line: a well excecuted hybrid with ribbon speed, and subwoofer- class 20hz bass. Very open, detailed and transparent. They are not brutal however. Best on these are strings, horns, and Jazz. These will do heavy metal, but to 116db, not enough to satisfy headbangers. Oh, I thought those guys wanted 120db at least....

2003年1月22日 · The RM2's are quite large and, depending upon the size of your room, it might be worth considering what seems to be a more standard package these days which is the 626R monitors with a sub. Many people seem to like the narrower baffles on the 626's which helps with soundstaging and imaging.

2014年4月23日 · Original owner of two wonderful, large (approx. 45"x 14"x 16") floorstanding RM2's in piano black lacquer finish. Two ribbon tweeters, two mid-range ribbon panels, one 12" carbon fiber active plus 12" passive woofer per speaker. Neodymium planar midrange drivers. 8/10 as one speaker has broken plastic tab on corner of removable speaker grill.

If I were going to spend this kind of money on one of these right now, I'd probably buy the VMPS RM2 neo. Their stunning dynamics and incredible bass response alone are enough to make me want them.
