The Militaria e-Stand - Wehrmacht
We would prefer this contribution to be in the form of militaria, (for example; medals, books, helmets, magazines, pins, and specially period photographs), but we will also accept monetary contribution, since not everyone may have something to contribute and some items are of low value so that a militaria donation would not be warranted.
Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge - Wehrmacht
The fastening system is typical of the Luftwaffe badges. It consists of a thin needle pin (end rounded or pointed), a barrel hinge soldered to the wreath and a soldered ‘’C’’ form hook. Some manufacturers badges have a special hinge form (at least GWL, BNL, ASSMANN). The badge was constructed in silver-nickel alliage, tombak and zinc.
e-stand rules - Wehrmacht
The e-stand is receiving a great number of hits and posts, so in order to optimize the performance of this section I would like to clarify the e-stand rules and make them available by posting them here.
War Merit Cross - Wehrmacht
The War Merit Cross 1st Class, as it would follow for a higher decoration, was not as liberally awarded and was therefore more respected. This was also the grade presented to factories and other wartime production companies that significantly surpassed production quotas. The badge was displayed in the form of a banner. Demjansk Shield - Wehrmacht
The award takes the form of a shield that is surmounted by an eagle with elongated wings, clutching in its claws a wreath that surrounds a swastika. Under the eagle there are 3 lines, with the last one constituting the top of the box that encloses the word “NARVIK”.
