The Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe (WBTT) is a nonprofit theater, located in Sarasota, Florida. In 2022, the WBTT gained national attention for "inclusion" while concurrently representing African-American history and the greater Black community. [1]

In its 2025-2026 theatre season, WBTT will offer fan favorites, a drama by playwright/actress Dominique Morisseau, and a brand-new world premiere show. Running from October 8, 2025 through May 17, 2026, the regular season shows are “Purlie,” “Paradise Blue,” “How I Got Over: A Gospel Revue” and “Lies, Spells and Old Wives’ Tales.”

The Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe of Florida, Inc. (WBTT) was founded December 1999, by Nate Jacobs. It is the only professional black theatre company on Florida's west coast.
