The Westmoreland County Obedience Training Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching owners to train their dogs for pleasure and/or for competition. WCOTC has offered reasonably priced dog obedience classes to the public since it was formed in 1983.
Trial Premiums - WCOTC
Our AKC-licensed trials are held in the air- conditioned WCOTC Training Center. Our June and late September trials offer all of the regular Obedience and Rally classes, as well as PreNovice, Veterans, Brace and Rally Pairs non-regular classes. Members donate a large selection of prizes for dogs entered in these Obedience Trials.

Obedience - WCOTC
Teaches the basic skills of sit, down, walk on a loose leash, come when called, stay, settle, sit nicely for petting, and not jumping-on people. Basic II Class- is training for the Canine Good Citizen certification (CGC test), it involves all skills previously taught and adds supervised separation, grooming, greeting strangers, and more.

From the beginning, the obstacles are introduced in a positive, safe and non-threatening way. Progression is made from Beginners to Intermediate, to Advanced and then to the Competition Levels.
