2020年5月24日 · In addition to Walt Disney World park maps from 1989, my recent attic purge also unearthed some photos from that same trip. As much as Disney fans today love to complain about changes to the parks, my largest impression from seeing these long-forgotten shots is that WDW looks substantially the same as it did 30+ years ago.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (1980) Anyone who’s been to Disney World has been on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom at least once. It’s faster than Dumbo, but not quite a roller coaster. Imagineers put more focus on the sights around guests than the thrill of the ride.

2021年8月22日 · Walt Disney World in 1980. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a wooden roller coaster in Frontierland with speed, dips, and tight curves. As the story goes, a flash flood threatens a gold mining town in the old West and its residents throw one last hurrah. Without loops, Disney categorizes this ride as a Mild but Wild Ride.

2018年10月25日 · This time, though, we got to experience the brand spanking new Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! Adventureland, 1980. We always enjoyed visiting Adventureland. I loved the Enchanted Tiki Room, and remember drinking ice cold orange juice out of a plastic orange. The Jungle Cruise skipper was still telling the same joke about New York.
