USA 272 (U.S.Strat.Com 41879), or Wideband Global SATCOM 8 (WGS F8) (a.k.a Crazy) is a United States military communications satellite operated by the United States Air Force as part of the Wideband Global SATCOM programme. Launched Delta IV in 2016, it was the eighth WGS satellite to reach (target) orbit.

WGS-8, the second Block II follow-on satellite, supports commu-nications links in the X-band and Ka-band spectra. While Block I and II satellites can instantaneously filter and downlink up to 4.410 GHz, WGS-8 can filter and downlink up to 8.088 GHz of bandwidth.
