WSA Co is: an unlisted public company limited by shares incorporated under the Corporations Act, and; a Commonwealth Company for the purposes of the PGPA Act. WSA Co is wholly owned by the Australian Government represented by two Shareholder Ministers, the Minister for Finance and the Minister for Population, Cities and Urban Infrastructure .

WSA Co Limited (WSA) was established by the Australian Government to develop and operate Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (the Airport) at Badgery's Creek. WSA is required to execute its responsibilities in accordance with a Project Deed with the Government in order to open the Airport by 2026.

Western Sydney International will be a world-class smart airport, built to service 10 million passengers a year from the day we open in 2026. Western Sydney International will become the gateway of choice for Sydney, Australia and the world.

Paul is the first Chair of the WSA Co Limited and was appointed in August 2017. Before joining us, Paul was the CEO of Singtel Group Consumer from 2012 to 2014, and the CEO of Optus from 2004 to 2012.

The Australian Government is delivering the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) at Badgerys Creek via a government-owned company, Western Sydney Airport Co Limited (WSA Co). The Government has committed up to $5.3 billion to deliver the airport.

This is the next significant step in the Government’s priority to deliver a second airport for Sydney. With an investment of up to $5.3 billion in equity, WSA Co will operate as a Commonwealth Company, prescribed as a Government Business Enterprise.
