2025年2月19日 · Cont et al. (2022) reported the detection of Ti I and V I on the day side of WASP-33 b, a planet significantly hotter (T eq ∼ 2 600 K; Hooton et al. 2022) than both WASP-121 b and WASP- 76 b. Similarly, Prinoth et al. (2023) presented strong absorption signatures for both Ti I and V I in the transmission spectrum of WASP-189 b ( T eq ∼ 2600 ...

2025年2月28日 · This degeneracy can be broken by combining measurements of both the C/O ratio and the atmospheric refractory-to-volatile ratio. We report the measurements of both quantities for the atmosphere of the canonical ultra-hot Jupiter WASP-121 b using the high resolution (R=45,000) IGRINS instrument on Gemini South.
2.2 WASP: Wide area search for planets - OpenLearn
In 2006, the first two WASP discoveries, WASP-1 b and WASP-2 b, were announced. Both of these are Jupiter-sized planets orbiting close to their parent stars. Since then, WASP telescopes in the northern and southern hemispheres have discovered around 200 planets, all of them giant planets orbiting fairly close to their stars.
