Soulful Moments: Figurative Paintings by Barbara Allie & Wayne Jiang, The Art Museum of Los Gatos, Los Gatos, CA Beyond the Likeness: Self-Portrait by California Artists, Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara, CA

Through a mixture of demos, hands-on painting sessions from photos or still life, you will learn Wayne Jiang’s unique acrylic glazing and layering techniques to paint like the old Dutch masters.

During these sessions, students will get one-on-one mentoring from Wayne. Online workshop students can attend class live via Zoom and will have access to download a video file of the painting demo to refer to so they can paint along at home at their own pace.

In this workshop you will learn some of the layering and glazing acrylic techniques developed by Wayne over the last three decades, which resembles the look of the Old Masters’ oil paintings using acrylic paint.
