The Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) is a 501 (c) (3) nationally recognized leader in the field of women’s business development and economic empowerment that was founded in 1986.

Join us for a one-hour information session to learn about the Women’s Business Development Council’s Ignite Grant. The information session will cover eligibility requirements, what the grant can be used for, the application process and timeline. We will share the application questions and the required supporting documentation.

WBDC workshops, webinars and events cover a variety of topics to support you in every stage of your business. Most are offered in both English and Spanish. WBDC offers monthly no-cost workshops around Starting Your Business in Illinois, Understanding GATA, the KIVA micro–lending platform, and Certification.

The organization was founded in 1986 to provide programs and services to support and accelerate women’s business ownership and strengthen the impact of women on the economy by creating jobs, fueling economic growth, and building strong communities.
