2004年11月21日 · Fordy, to hold the pipe remaining in the well as you remove the joints I use a pair of modified vise grips. I have two short 6 inch long pieces of angle iron welded to the jaws. I carefully set the pliers to where they just grip the pipe. I remove the joint above the coupling therefore if the pipe does slide downward it will catch on the coupling.

2008年5月9日 · You can let the pipe back down into the well a bit and let the pipe rest on the couping and the setup cannot fall into the well. With a pipe wrench on the coupling unscrew the pipe above the coupling and remove the upper pipe. Leave the coupling attached to the section of pipe that is still in the well.

Generally around here a well driller will install a temporary submersible pump and operate it with a generator. They pump it for at least a couple of hour and then test the flow buy timing and catching a certain amount.

2014年6月12日 · Before I got my new pump plumbed in I managed to break the pipe at the top of the well head but I had the wire for the pump tied to it so it didn't fall all the way down. I was used to dealing with 300+ feet wells with 21 foot sections of galvanized pipe so I called the pump guy to tell him I needed him to come out an pull the pump.

2023年11月7日 · Before the new pump went in, I pulled the downpipe, at the direction of the contractor, it seems to me it was no more than about 15 feet to water and about 25 feet to the "foot". With a 2" pvc pipe in a 3" casing, I think fitting another pipe in the casing is doubtfull. Currently in the casing is a pvc pipe down the "foot".
