The whispering depths is the area accessed a few different ways, mainly via the well in the Blighted Village. Yes, most likely the Spider Matriarch is that High Elf, even some connection to Ilyn Toth, the original owner of the Necromancy of Thay book.

We cleared half of the Whispering Depths. There are still two groups of Phase Spiders Eggs that we can't destroy and then the battle with two Phase Spiders and the Phase Spider Maitrach. No matter what I try my entire party gets wiped

There's nothing going on in whispering depth and you can get to underdark other ways (you're not gonna get to moonrise towers via whispering depths). There is a gem you need and some spiders basically. But if whispering depth give you the ick I think you're not gonna play through act 2. It's depressing by the atmosphere and has horror elements.

2020年11月5日 · in the whispering depths, if you burn out a spiderweb bridge at the lowest level (near the teleport sygil) while a character is standing on it, they get dropped directly into the underdark. shortcut! just make sure you cast featherfall!

2024年1月27日 · So i am at the point of act 1 where i need to reach the underdark and decided to take whispering depths entrance cause i cant find others. I reached the load of phase spiders and the matriach and dealt with them although the matriach vanished somewhere behind wall or something.. Anyways. Im at the pit that i assume, is the path to the underdark.

I entered the Whispering Depths through the Blacksmith's house but as I fought the first enemies, the cobweb bridge that connected the entrance and the enemies was destroyed. Now, I can't finish the battle because enemies are stuck off-screen and none of my party can cross the gap because it is too big to jump.

2022年7月15日 · At this point I usually go through the temple just to grab the the fast travel point before returning to the Grove. But I think jumping down the pit in the Whispering Depths is still my favorite. (in all fairness, the only reason I knew that was an option is because they did it in a panel from hell, not sure i would have figured it out on my own)
