
What is the Windows equivalent of Unix "whoami" command?
The above are native to the OS and better answers, but in the spirit of completeness, there's literally a whoami.exe in the 2000 & XP support tools. At 32 kb, it'd be easy to roll out through group policy, if you had your heart set on that command.

Also takes care of nesting, ie you are in group A which is in B, so it shows you as also in B (again I am trying to recall the details here).

Not working for me on Windows Server 2012 R2 (for both the member server, DCs, domain and forest functional level): I can purge the Kerberos tickets, but never got the new group (neither the klist tgt size changes, or whoami /groups reflects the new group). I've checked the change on the group is replicated through all the DCs.
