2013年7月11日 · Wipr should have no effect on the YouTube app. In Safari yes, but not the app. I use another ad blocker on my devices and haven’t seen any issues on YT in Safari, I don’t use the YT app, no way to get around ads on it.

2008年7月13日 · Wipr recently updated and now blocks ads on YouTube in Safari only. You need to go into settings -> Safari -> Extensions and turn on Wipr Extra. I've also been using Wipr for over 5 years and it works great for me. What's also nice is the blocking rules are updated multiple times per week so your always updated with the latest blocking rules.

2017年2月21日 · I have a 2020 iMac running Monterey and a 2017 iMac on Ventura and both exhibit this in Safari. I'll update the Wipr extension (with the Extras) and ads will start showing up even though it's enabled. Toggle it off and then back on again and it's good until the next update. Are you guys quitting Safari before updating Wipr?

2008年7月13日 · Wipr, available for ios and macOS, is somewhat simpler to use - just turn it on, nothing else to do, no other settings. 1Blocker has a lot of customizations available as well as the ability to white list specific sites.

2015年3月15日 · I use Wipr now and it works just as good as adguard without any complicated setup. 1blocker is also really good but tends to be more aggressive and breaks more websites, not that it's many, and provides you with controls to customize blocking on a per-site basis.

2024年8月7日 · Wipr seems to get bad reviews on the App store, but I'm using it on iPad and iPhone and it works ok, but it doesn't seem to get good reviews on the MacOS App store. I spend a lot of time on Youtube, so something that even manages to block the Youtube ads would be great (hopefully without making the video playback quality lower).

2014年10月20日 · After reading about Wipr here, I've installed it and I have to say it works very well. I'm positively surprised. The only thing I'm missing is the possibility to whitelist, but I hope this will come in a future release.
