The best way to determine what your initial dimensions should be is to practice and see what works best. But if it is your first bow, it never hurts to have a set of preconcieved dimensions that somebody else has figured out.

I am starting out with a bow length of 193 cm (76”), which may be a little oversized. However, if you want to be on the safe side, when it comes to achieving your desired draw weight, this is the way to do it. If your bow turns out too weak, you can shorten it to achieve the desired draw weight.

2021年9月29日 · Most boards won’t make the cut, so expect to look through plenty. A 1×2 board 8 feet long works perfectly for this build, and happens to be a common size at Home Depot and Lowes. The actual dimensions of a 1×2 are 1 1/2” by 3/4”. I used a total of 80” of 1×2, 72” for the bow and 8” for the handle riser.
