Mom of cyclist enthusiast looking for road bike with 20" wheelset
2025年2月19日 · No 24" bike is going to fit a 5 year old no matter how much you love the bike! The 12 inch frame size is a 20 inch wheel bike and pretty standard for the style. This lady wants a bike she can buy today. That Cannondale Quick would be pretty good. Or a Woom. They have a 20 with a shifter that's easy to ride and will keep the kid til he's eight plus.

My 7 year old son is 50" now. He was about 48" last fall when we bought him a Woom 5 24" bike for his 7th bday as a size up from his 20" Islabike Beinn Small, which he'd been riding for over 2 years. The Woom is a fairly small 24" and still the bigger size was pretty intimidating to him.

2025年2月12日 · Liked 5 Times in 3 Posts I suppose the pictures I posted aren't unique in that other bikes don't have them, but they're somewhat a unique combination. I've spent a lot of time looking at who knows how many pictures of bicycles and I haven't been able to match all of these from any manufacturer.

2025年2月27日 · With this spacing, either a 5-speed freewheel, or an ultra 6 can be used without any concern for adjustments. You may have space to use a "regular" 6-speed, and you may be able to get it to work, but that may result in having to spread the rear dropouts, and/or adjusting the spacing on the axles in order to keep the the rear wheel centered ...
Chain line issues with wider dropout - Bike Forums
2025年3月7日 · First, it isn't 10mm extra, it is 5. you need to split it for both sides. Likely the hub width isn't much different as rim dishing will keep the block closer to the chain line. The difference will be small enough not to matter too much. Run whatever count of sprockets you want.

Running Sealant in Innertubes - Bike Forums
2025年3月8日 · It's doable with the right kind of valves allowing the stuff to be injected. I tried Slime brand tubes on my commuter for a few years and they have their plusses and minuses--work to some extent sealing simple punctures (puncturevine thorns esp); harder to mount and more likely to fold inside the tire; harder to patch; valves tended to clog with dried sealant.
