The Water Quality Management (WQM) process described in the Act and in this regulation provides the authority for a consistent national approach for maintaining, improving and protecting water quality while allowing States to implement the most effective individual programs.

2021年1月8日 · Wastewater management plans (WMPs) assess the cumulative water resource impact of future development and are a component of the areawide WQM plans.

DEP maintains several water quality models and tools used by the NPDES permitting program. These models and tools are generally used in NPDES permit development and/or utilized by permittees as a part of permit conditions.

DEP publishes the receipt of NPDES and WQM permit applications, tentative decisions on the applications (individual NPDES permits only), and final actions on the applications under Chapters 92a and 91 of DEP’s regulations, respectively, in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.

It is the responsibility of the wastewater facility owner to obtain the WQM permit. The requirements for preparing applications and obtaining a WQM permit are included in Chapter 91 of DEP's Rules and Regulations.

2025年1月6日 · In accordance with the Water Quality Management Planning rules, N.J.A.C. 7:15, a public notice for a Proposed Amendment to Lower Delaware Water Quality Management (WQM) Plan will be published on January 6, 2025, in the New Jersey Register. The proposed amendment, identified as Active ACQ.

WQM plans draw upon the water quality assessments to identify priority point and nonpoint water quality problems, consider alternative solutions and recommend control measures, including the financial and institutional measures necessary for implementing recommended solutions.
