Women Write About Comics (WWAC) has been reviewing comics and covering superheroes, film, books, zines, webcomics, webtoons, and pop culture since 2011. WWAC lifts up voices from writers of marginalized genders with a focus on diversity.

Founded by Megan Purdy, WWAC is an Eisner Award-winning online journal that features a diverse group of intersectional, international feminists who provide equally diverse insight into the world of comic book culture and the comic book industry at large.

Mar 1, 2023 · The newly launched Cartoonist Cooperative aims to do just that. Founded by Reimena Yee, Sloane Leong, Nero Villagallos-O’reilly, Joan Zahra Dark (Ed.’s note: a WWAC contributor), Zach Hazard Vaupen, and Aaron Losty the group recently shared their mission in an exciting press release.
