X2 was a Force-sensitive clone created from the template of Jedi Knight Falon Grey, who served the Galactic Republic, Galactic Empire and later Kota's Militia. Along with his older brother X1, they both grew up secretly on Kamino and later fought in the Clone Wars.

Ferroda was a male Jedi Master who served the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic as a General in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He was killed during Order 66 by Force-sensitive clone trooper X2 on the planet of Cato Neimoidia.

Originally tasked with eliminating Jedi during Order 66, X2 decides to leave his blood-stained past behind and joins the Rebellion. X2 isn't the only Force-sensitive clone, however.
