2019年9月20日 · I recently got a 2010 X5 35d. I'm going to have some of the deletes done and have been looking at a lot of options for tuning. Too many options. I've purchased all of the parts for EGR/SCR/DPF deletes and am just down to who to go with for the tune.

2024年5月16日 · The timing chain is not an issue. You replace it and forget it. A lot of my mates have or had a BMW with the same engine as your X5, and while the engine block itself is tough there’s just constant issues due to age and most stuff around the engine leaking/breaking. Altough yours is fairly low mileage for a diesel
Differences between the X5 35d or 35i? : r/BMW - Reddit
2015年12月12日 · The 35d is far more torquey and I think that nice heavy pull suits the X5 better than the 35i's power output which is really at its best at higher revs when you are really gunning it. Also sound wise, I love the bass'y rumble of my 435d but there is no denying that when you're shifting the 35i makes a great noise.

Got it for $26k CAD so, about $19.5k USD. It has 155Kms (so 96k miles). Love the diesel engine, great torque and solid smooth drive. It has been religiously maintained which I am happy about.

2012 BMW X5 35D E70 reliability experiences/thoughts/comments?
2020年4月12日 · My sister has a 2011 X5 3.5d with maybe 80k miles on it. At 30k miles she had to replace the emissions system which would have been fairly expensive out of warranty. Her only recent maintenance issue was replacing the front control arms.
Consequences of overfilling DEF tank, especially in the winter
2019年6月24日 · So I bought a 2011 BMW X5 35d (E70) back in September of 2018. While on a road trip around the Seattle area in January, I received the 1,000 mile warning to refill DEF. I put a couple of 2.5gallon DEF bottles in there, filling it up to the brim.
Why does the E70 diesel have 2 DEF ports? : r/BmwTech - Reddit
2020年6月26日 · 2012 X5 35d has 2 deisel exhaust fluid ports, one easily accessible, the other below the air inlet pipe on the other side of the motor. It seems over-complicated, but wondering if there was a good reason for it.

Reliability of X5, your experience? : r/BMW - Reddit
2022年10月13日 · The X5’s aren’t any more unreliable than the rest of the BMW range imo. They are heavy though, so expect around 27-32mpg in the real world. Fuel tank is also around 85 litres so approx £150 to fill here in the UK (from empty). Tyres will be your next enemy.
