2020年4月10日 · I thought I read somewhere that the newer XG2 (XG2v2-P?) has 6 tuners, but now I can't find that information. Regardless, I still need at least 8 tuners to dedicate one for each TV plus 2 more for cloud DVR recording - at least that's how I understand it.

2021年7月16日 · The XG2 is what a Comcast calls a "TV box", not a DVR. Yes, you can use it to program recordings and to watch those recordings, but that does not make the device a DVR. A DVR must be able to store programs. The XG2 cannot do that.

If yes, then the apps on the X1 box are not a separate internet but rather a feature of X1 cable boxes that allow popular apps to be used through the cable box rather than by using a roku or smart tv. The best thing about the integrated apps for me is the voice control. (For example I could say “YouTube monkey videos”).

2023年5月10日 · You will need a X1 Set top box to use cable service. Also regarding the set top box you can use it as a standalone without needing Internet service. However some capabilities like using the streaming applications won’t work due to you needing an Xfinity modem. The current models we only have are an XG1 and XG2. Both have DVR functionality.
