2020年9月22日 · I just installed an XB7 gateway. It works fine, but I can’t find a user manual for it. A Comcast rep says my XB7 is an ARRIS TG4482A, and the Software page on the gateway web server (10.0.0.1) seems to confirm this.

2022年4月14日 · Was Sent a XB7-CM when asked for XB8 when did my plan change on 4/6, Hopefully only using Arris TG4482 til XB8 is avaialble--and be back on Broadcom based Gateway. And was told plan wouldn't take effect til Modem was activated, so i went ahead and activated XB7-A TG4482 model, and returning tomorrow my XB7-T Model per the instructions

2021年6月10日 · Here are my observations on the Xb7, i originally had a Xb6, my Xb6 functioned flawlessly. never a disconnect or issues of any kind, i achieved better then the advertised speed, my Xb6 i was able to adjust settings in the admin panel, so after a lot of experimenting, i was able to dial in optimum performance for my environment , so i get a Xb7, so set it up using the xfi app, during the setup ...

2020年6月10日 · Gotta be honest the documentation on the XB7 is not where I’d like it to be, in the XB7 you have to hold the WPS button down for 15+ seconds to reset it, which does what the XB6 does with the reset pinhole (tried it for us last week). Once you do so, you will need to reactivate your gateway.

2021年9月14日 · An alternative would be to login at 10.0.0.1 and just turn off your wireless networks and let the XB7 be a wired router for your network. You’ll need to put your current router into Access Point mode, but this works if you have things set up for multigigabit wired networking and don’t want to use the XB7 for your router.

2020年8月17日 · Haven't tried this so good luck. If it doesn't work, you may have to call Comcast. Note -- turning off/on from power restarts the gateway (not a factory reset). EDIT: I just tried to do a factory reset. The light on my XB7 does not flash blue -- it stays steady white as you hold the WPS button for roughly 1-2 minutes.

2022年10月23日 · Technicolor CGM4331COM is XB7-T (T == Technicolor) and Arris TG4482A is XB7-A / XB7-CM (A == Arris; CM == Commscope, parent company of Arris). Also XB7-T has Broadcom Chipset which is good, while XB7-A / XB7-CM has Maxlinear (formerly Intel) Puma Chipset which has tons of latency problems and there's even a class action lawsuit on this issue.

2022年4月22日 · Same here I was told I was being sent an XB8 modem and opened the just delivered package to find it is an XB7-T. Not too happy that I was told the XB8 was being shipped to me and then end up with a XB7-T. I currently have the XB7-CM. I will have to go to the Xfinity Store and see if they have the XB8 that I can exchange it for.
